  • The Castrol International Board whilst meeting in the UK at Otterburn wanted a complex problem to resolve that required an element of physical challenge across the beautiful Northumberland National Park, a cerebral component and a need for concurrency and cohesion throughout the evolution.

Sampson Hall designed a complex bespoke package which involved concurrent problem solving, leadership and effective communication. The means of transport available included mountain biking for the fitter delegates and walking for the less physically able.

The complexity of the evolution unravelled as groups came together and separated to solve concurrent problems until the whole team had collected the components for the final task which was  to create 'a light at the end of the tunnel'. The day culminated at the pub for some considered reflection and refreshment before a group supper.

Castrol developed their team cohesion, communication and leadership and enjoyed a fantastic day in beautiful surroundings of Northumbria and even managed a visit to Hadrian's Wall.
