Sarah is a successful business leader and brings over 25 years’ experience in the global chemical and pharmaceutical sector, blended with active roles in the voluntary arena. Her strengths are in visionary, participative and coaching styles of leadership, which she now applies to support individuals and organisations with their strategic or leadership challenges, in today’s climate of continual change.
During her career with ICI, Zeneca and AstraZeneca, Sarah has led or influenced strategic initiatives at all organisational levels, established effective teams and networks delivering valued output, and supported and motivated individuals to reach their full potential. In 2014 she led the global project to establish AstraZeneca’s strategic priorities for Safety, Health & Environment out to 2025, in line with corporate ambition.
Sarah holds a 1st Class Honours Degree, and Doctorate in Agriculture from Reading University published in a peer-reviewed journal. During her career, she has operated externally as an industry technical expert and invited lecturer, whilst in-house has delivered podium presentations and chaired web-hosted events. Since leaving AstraZeneca in 2015, Sarah has continued her personal development by gaining a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute and an Affiliate of the Centre for Leadership Studies at the University of Exeter.
With a positive approach applied flexibly, and drawing upon her wealth of experience, Sarah’s style is to strive for simplicity, always with her clients’ end goals in sight.
