Business coaching is a type of personal or group development to help individuals or teams to become much more effective in their roles.  

 It provides positive support, feedback and advice to improve personal effectiveness in the business setting.

Our business coaching includes executive coaching, corporate coaching and leadership coaching.

Executive coaching is designed to help facilitate professional and personal development to support individual growth, improved performance and contentment. It involves self-discovery through reflection, contemplation and experimentation that may result in experiential learning and development of new approaches to situations and issues. Our consultants work with their clients towards specific and agreed professional goals. These include career transition, interpersonal and professional communication, performance management, organisational effectiveness, managing career and personal changes, developing executive presence, enhancing strategic thinking, dealing effectively with conflict, and building an effective team within an organisation.

We also business mentor which is a process for the informal transmission of knowledge and experience relevant to work, career, or professional development; mentoring entails informal communication, usually face-to-face and during a sustained period of time.

Why do you need it?

If you want to get fit you get a fitness coach, if you want to learn tennis you get a tennis coach and if you want to get the most out of your own potential within your business you should have a business coach. Running a business is a difficult enough challenge without having to motivate yourself to extraordinary feats at the same time. Running a business can be a lonely hard place where you live and die by your own decisions. Having someone to act as a sounding board, to motivate you when things are tough and to push you further when you need something extra is essential to you and your organisation achieving success.

Some people like to draw on our business acumen through our business mentoring scheme which is designed to help business leaders grow with their businesses. How we do it

Sampson Hall’s consultants are all trained coaches in their own right. We enable leaders and teams to grow with the personal assistance of an expert who can support them along their journey to excellence. Within our team we have many different characters and different experience levels. So we can match our delivery to the individual’s needs and experience and we have yet to fail in terms of delivering appropriate coaching and mentoring. We work in a very bespoke way with each individual with whom we work and work to and within the appropriate timescale.

How it helps

Good coaching and mentoring allows business leaders to spend time working “on” rather than “in their business” . It can also relieve some of the pressure on a business leader as a problem shared is a problem halved.  Coaches also act as sounding boards where ideas and initiatives can be explored and expanded upon or discarded prior to implementation. A good coach will always be able to point out the pitfalls when necessary whilst supplying motivation and encouragement when appropriate.
